We are proud to share that three of our school leavers have been recognised for their outstanding efforts and achievements at @WestonCollege’s Celebration of Success. Each student was nominated by a member of staff based on their accomplishments and the final winner was chosen by a panel of judges. Each winner then received an award, certificate and prize at the College’s annual Oscars-style event.
Holly was named the Performing Arts student of the year. Since leaving Broadoak in 2017, she has achieved distinctions across all her projects and continued to excel playing the lead role in the musical “Made in Dagenham”, producing an extremely professional performance.
Despite battling a life-threatening illness, Neve (who left Broadoak in 2018) has remained the most upbeat and positive student in her class. For her incredible hard work and inspiring her peers, Neve was awarded the Animal Management Student of the Year award. She has now progressed to the Level 3 course and is expected to achieve equally as well.
Dominic, who left Broadoak in 2018, received the Electrical and Plumbing Student of the Year award. He has been referred to as an inspiration to his peers and a real example of how hard work, effort and uncompromising spirit leads to success, despite difficult circumstances. Unfortunately, Dominic was unable to attend the evening so his Dean of Faculty Steve Caldwell collected the award on his behalf.
We’d like to Congratulate Holly and Neve and Dominic on their amazing accomplishments. We are always pleased to hear about the ongoing success of our past students who have progressed and achieved greatness.
