Year 10 PPE Timetable

Dear Parent/ Carer,
Year 10 students will sit PPEs (pre-public exams, also known as mock exams) between Friday 24th June and Thursday 7th July. The timetable for these exams is linked above for your reference, students have been given a printed copy of this exam timetable. When they are not in exams, students will be in their normal timetabled lessons. Students who are entitled to Access Arrangements will be given support to ensure they use their Access Arrangements fully in these exams.
Although these exams do not count towards their final GCSE grades, they form an important part of the preparations for GCSE exams in Year 11; helping students become familiar with how exams run and building their confidence and exam stamina. The outcomes of the exams are also used by teachers and school leaders to inform their planning to best meet the needs of the students, so it is important that students take these exams seriously and are preparing for them at home as well as in lessons.
Over the next week you will receive the first Year 10 step up Newsletter to help prepare our Year 10s to become our new, successful Year 11.  This will contain information about Year 11 as well as some hints and tips to prepare for the upcoming PPEs.  In the meantime, if you have any questions relating to the progress or wellbeing, please contact the student’s form tutor or Miss Maspero or Miss Smith.

Kind regards,

Kate Fiddian
Vice Principal
