We are thrilled to announce that Broadoak Academy will be hosting the much-anticipated Festival of Culture 2024 on Saturday, 15th June, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Broadoak Academy playing fields.
This vibrant event is a fantastic opportunity for families to come together and celebrate the rich diversity and dynamic spirit of our community.
What to Expect:
The Festival of Culture promises a day packed with exciting activities and performances for all ages:
– **Marquee Performances:** Enjoy a variety of acts, including local choirs, bands, storytelling sessions, and cultural dance displays.
– **Interactive Workshops:** Participate in hands-on activities and learn something new.
– **Stalls and Displays:** Explore a wide array of stalls featuring delicious food, and community organizations.
– **Sports Activities:** Get active with a range of sports and games suitable for all ages.
– **Special Guests:** We are honoured to have Phil Packer MBE joining us. Phil, a former British Army Officer and founder of the British Inspiration Trust (BRIT), will be hosting a special Q&A session in the marquee. His inspirational story of resilience and dedication is not to be missed.
