Girls football teams in every year at Broadoak

For the first time in what the academy’s history, Broadoak Academy has girls in every year group representing the school on the football pitch.

This achievement is a testament to the passion and participation of Broadoak’s girls. It also reflects the academy’s commitment to providing equal opportunities for all students.

This significant milestone marks a new era for girls’ sports in our community.

Mrs Kayleigh Turk, PSHE Lead and teacher of performing arts, said: “The increasing popularity of women’s football has inspired our girls to take up the sport, and we have embraced this by providing opportunities for girls of all ages to play by running a weekly girl’s football club and arranging fixtures with local schools.

“As these young athletes continue to develop their skills and passion for the sport, we look forward to witnessing their future successes both on and off the field.”
