Year 11 – 2K Club Parent and Carer Information

Launch of the Year 11 Success Programme

Dear Parent/Carer,

Building on Success

As we begin an important stage of Year 11, I am delighted to introduce our refreshed and expanded Year 11 Success Programme.

Last year, our Year 11 students embraced the 1K Club, collectively attending over 1,350 intervention and revision sessions across the eight weeks leading up to their GCSE examinations. Many of the students who engaged most consistently went on to meet or exceed their target grades, demonstrating the value of learning beyond the classroom.

Building on this success, we are launching Cycle 1: The 2K Challenge – Build the Habit.

The 2K Challenge

Running from Monday 28th September until Friday 20th November 2026, the challenge encourages students to develop positive study habits by regularly attending intervention and revision sessions alongside their timetabled lessons.

Our ambition is for Year 11 students to achieve a collective total of 2,000 intervention attendances, with each student aiming to attend 14 sessions across the seven-week challenge.

Students who engage consistently will receive recognition and rewards throughout the cycle, whilst also developing the habits needed for success in their upcoming PPE examinations and GCSEs.

How Families Can Help

Parental support is vital. We ask that you encourage your child to take advantage of the many opportunities available and discuss their attendance at intervention sessions throughout the challenge.
